Put event
Persist one execution observation or diagnostic. Save the event UUID, assignment-scoped sequence and complete body before sending. Identical retries return the original immutable receipt, including after session recovery; they do not refresh observations. Lower sequences are retained as stale without changing progress. A new backward phase or conflicting identity is rejected. Neither diagnostic severity nor phase finalizes work or frees capacity.
Authorizations
Section titled “Authorizations”Parameters
Section titled “Parameters”Path Parameters
Section titled “Path Parameters”Owned assignment.
Non-nil UUID retained with this assignment.
Header Parameters
Section titled “Header Parameters”Required active process session for the assignment’s durable journal.
Request Bodyrequired
Section titled “Request Bodyrequired”Strict JSON object, at most 8 KiB or the configured limit. Positive sequence; RFC3339 observed_at with microsecond precision or coarser; phase or diagnostic required. Backend handle required beyond preparing, and allowed only with a phase. Diagnostics alone never refresh observation freshness.
object
Actual evidence capture time, not retry time. Never used as server time.
Responses
Section titled “Responses”Event and any progress committed, or identical original receipt replayed. Current progress is available through assignment detail.
Immutable acknowledgement, not a current-state response. Replays preserve it.
object
Headers
Section titled “Headers”No-store
Always present. A fresh server-generated UUID for this request; incoming IDs are ignored. On errors, this equals the response body’s request_id.
Malformed JSON, query parameters, invalid event ID, or invalid_session_header.
The common JSON body for errors returned by the HTTP application.
object
Stable machine-readable error code.
Bounded corrections for authorized scientific-schema failures only. Absent on other failures. The complete validation error body is <=4608 bytes.
object
More violations exist than fit in this response.
At most eight violations, in validator traversal order.
A schema failure without submitted values or arbitrary property names.
object
Fixed guidance; actual bounds and allowed values remain in the publication schema.
JSON Pointer relative to inputs; the empty string denotes its root.
Only ordinary, explicitly declared property names and array indices appear.
Example
/valueThe position stops at a safe ancestor instead of naming the exact field.
Stable categories independent of the validator’s free-form diagnostics.
Safe explanation without internal errors or submitted input values.
Matches the response’s x-request-id header.
